Trust & Privacy

This page is maintained by the Explorer Chimp team to answer common security and privacy questions about the product. It describes current, app-visible practices and is not an independent certification or audit.

What Explorer Chimp does

Explorer Chimp helps you discover vacation destinations and generates sample itineraries based on the preferences you share through the quiz. You can save itineraries to your account and access them later.

Account & authentication

  • Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider using email or Google.
  • Sessions are managed via secure tokens issued by the provider. You can sign out at any time from My Account.
  • Administrative actions are gated to a small set of accounts the owner has explicitly granted; users cannot self-elevate their permissions.

Data we collect

  • Account email when you sign in.
  • Quiz answers you submit and itineraries you save.
  • Search history tied to your account so you can revisit past results.
  • Basic interaction events used to improve recommendations.

How your data is protected

  • Database access uses row-level security so each signed-in user can only read and modify their own records.
  • Privileged operations run on the server with credentials that are never shipped to the browser.
  • Traffic to the site is served over HTTPS.

Subprocessors & integrations

Explorer Chimp relies on the following third parties to operate:

  • Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, authentication, and storage.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Google — optional sign-in via OAuth.
  • AI model providers — generating itinerary suggestions from your prompts.

Your interactions with these services are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Your choices

  • You can delete saved itineraries from your account at any time.
  • To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us via the contact page.
  • You can unsubscribe from any transactional email using the link in the message.
